I am now having a vision of our Lord on this first Friday of Lent. He is appearing before me on his Holy Cross suffering, his body bruised, bleeding and broken by the weight of our sins.

‘My Lord, how can any soul truly fathom your love, the love of your sacrifice?’

Jesus now says, lifting his head, “My dear child, I love all of my children and I am calling them to love me as their Savior, who desires to save them from the oppression of darkness and all sin, that they may live in the light of the joy of my love.”

‘My Lord.’

“My son, go and bear much fruit united to me, to my suffering heart on the Cross, for your brothers and sisters to give hope to those most in need of my mercy, calling them to trust in my love. Go and speak of my love to my children.”

‘Holy Spirit, awaken my heart and soul for without our Lord I can do nothing- without you, O Spirit, to guide me in the love of our Father. Father, I pray that you will help me to seek the fullness of your love and mercy each day to awaken my heart so that I may live fully and abundantly in joy and peace through you, Father, who granted us the gift of the sacrifice of your Son, our Prince of Peace.’
