In the communion of saints, in the Holy Communion of God’s love, and at the church of San Rufino . . .

Now, here in Assisi, before communion, I went to the shrine of Pope John Paul II and in lighting candles for my prayer intentions and in meditating upon his image, he then spoke these words-

“My dear child, believe. Believe in the love of your God, whose love and mercy are for all of his children, but so few come to him. And it is not enough only to believe. One must put into practice the graces of believing, the graces of the faith.

I love my God with all my heart and from heaven I speak these words that the proof of believing is in your actions and living the holiness of the Gospel message and entrusting your heart to God our Father, who is a good Father and loves each one of you so dearly.

Take your hearts to the Cross. Take your hearts united to God’s passion in his love for you. Take your hearts to him and resound these words through loving him.

I have not forgotten each one of you my children, my brothers and sisters. And from heaven I pray for the power of the graces and mercy of the Holy Cross to fill your hearts with the love of God.

Peace, pray for peace my sheep whom I still love eternally.”
