Strengthen me.

‘My Lord, my heart cries out to you. Release me, free me, from the many bondages that now hold me from the freedom of your love. Free me to go. Free my soul, O Lord of light, and may heaven’s mercy be poured within me.

Yes, make me bold in your love through the power of the Holy Spirit, for I am timid and weak in so many ways. Strengthen me.

My brothers and sisters, I have faced many battles for the glory of the faith, as we all have. I think nothing special of myself. How could I, when I am weak and a sinner, stand before God naked in his love each day?

What I want to say- stand and rise with me and let God free us in the light of his love.

O my Lord, take me. I will go where you lead me. Help me with the first steps to walk anew, to leave the comfort and peace of where I am, to be an instrument of peace, even in the discomfort of suffering for the needs of others, for no greater love you said is this- than to lay down our lives for our brothers.

O my Lord, if you are with us, who can be against us? May I live in your presence, the presence of your light, the presence of your light forever. And as a Nuncio once told me, ‘My greatest desire is to dwell in the house of the Lord forever.’ May he be blessed for having received me so many years ago and may my only mission in life now, and from henceforth forever, be to live, to spread your Word, the Word of God, and may I evangelize the light from within my heart.

And I cast you out, Satan, in the name of Jesus, as you stand before me, you have no place here. Flee, O enemy of God, for I resist you.

Cover me with your Precious Blood, O Lord, and take me to new heights in your love.’
