‘My dearest friend, Carlo, thank you. Thank you for hearing my prayers and answering them that your mother should write me or send me a message. Thank you for hearing my prayer and my apology to you as I desire to be fully hearted and present for your canonization.’
Carlo now says, “My son, I have been with you throughout these days, throughout this time. And I have heard your cries and your needs for which I am interceding. Do you not think that I don’t understand your heart?”
‘Oh, Carlo, these past days have been most beautiful and difficult. And I now desire to return home to prepare, to return home for your canonization.’
“My son, no one knows the days of suffering that I, too, passed. One does not become a saint without also having suffered in sacrifice, as our Lord suffered his sacrifice for us and in love for God.
My life was short, but I desired to live it for his glory. And I desire that for the rest of your life, you also do the same. Which is why I am present to lead you. For deep within your heart, you are so much like me in the love, the purity of the love, of God for others, although our pasts differed.”
‘Oh, my Carlo, I am weak.’
“Choose the strength of God, my son. Choose the strength of love and rejoice. Satan now desires to confuse your thoughts with the hurt that your niece is enduring in her suffering. But with Jesus, she shall come through with life and his light and joy. My son, be a light and joy for your brothers and sisters on the last day of your mission.
Yes, be the light of Christ and the joy of his heart. Do not let the enemy distract you and your emotions.”
‘Yes, Carlo.’
“When you return home, you shall rest, and I shall be present with you at your retreat. I shall be present with you each day to lead and inspire you through the Holy Spirit to receive our Lord and our mother. And you shall rejoice.
Yes, be still and rest your heart in the love of Jesus.
My son, be strong. Stand tall in the love of God and choose what is good. Choose love and I shall guide you. Receive my mother’s love and trust in her, as she has given you her trust.”
‘Yes. Thank you for that one night, the first that you came to me.’
“Go forth in the goodness and the love of God, my son. His heart is with you.”
