‘Exodus 14 says, “The Lord will fight for you. You need only to be still.” My Lord, may I be still within your arms, my heart united to your heart.
Yes, may I find my rest in you always. For Isaiah 30 says, “In repentance and rest is your salvation. In quietness and trust is your strength.” O my Lord, you have always been my strength and I shall stand and I shall fight in the name of your Holy Cross, for you have redeemed the world and we have only to choose you.’
“My son, I am your God above all heaven and earth and my throne is exalted by your love when you come to me.”
‘I exalt your holy throne and the holy power of your Cross. I exalt you, O my Lord, I love you. May I rest in you and may you fill me with the holy glory of your merciful love through the joy and power of your Holy Cross in my life.
Take me as you desire, make me one with you. Help me, O Lord, show me the way, for I do not know what to do now. Show me the way of your mercy and of your glory.’
“My son, call Matthew tomorrow and he shall have a response through me for your prayer.”
‘Show me your way, O Lord, and may I be obedient in love to your call for the love of others.’
