“My son, my son, I love you.”

‘My Lord, I would like to say that I love you more, but that would never be possible. For your love can never be outdone. And your abundant joy is like a never-ending river of love that flows like the river Jordan where you were baptized and the eternal dove descended upon you, in which our Father said, ‘This is my son in whom I am well pleased.’

May I bathe in this river of joyful mercy one day before my life ends, for your glory, and a baptismal passing of the light to anoint my soul, to consume my soul with your love.

My love and my Lord, thank you and may I rejoice in all that you have done for me. May the joy of your love speak from my lips of all that is good for the love of souls and my brothers and sisters. For you said, ‘The least that you do for your brother, you do for me.’ I come to you to do for others.

I want nothing for myself except to love you. And may I be known for the wisdom, your wisdom, that you have shared with me in order to give to others the great hope of your love.

Take me as you desire and may your mercy fulfill my heart this day.’
