“My son.”

‘My Lord, show me the way, tell me what you want me to do.’

“Seek me with all your heart and love me with all your soul. Open your eyes to see me and follow my path.”

‘Lord, the joy that you give me is my strength and my renewal, my hope. I need you. I cannot live without you and I do not want to do so. Help me. Grant me peace in where I am now living with my brother and sister, seeking to rebuild a new way of life.’

“My son, I shall show you the way and rebuild it for you. Your joy was never truly in the material of where you were, in the beauty of your home, of the island where you lived. It was in the joy of seeing me in all things, my son. It was in the joy of the blessings that I was giving you each day and how you lived to fulfill those days.”

‘My Lord, I have met the richest of men, but my days have been filled with the riches of our Father and no wealth in this world can exceed that.’

“My son, I want you to begin living again. Yes, not just coming to me to receive me where I can be your true sanctuary but through that living your true life. You cannot only receive me, my son, if you’re not going to live through me. Your soul will perish in darkness, in sadness and despair, without the life of my Spirit. Do you understand?

‘Yes, my Lord. You are calling me to not only receive you and that you are my sanctuary, but your sanctuary is not a prison, it is life. And you came to set the captives free and we are meant to live the fullness and goodness of life each day. You have awakened my soul once again, my Lord, as in every moment and every word that you speak.

You have illuminated my heart this morning and I thank you. I give you thanks for every blessing throughout my life and that which I shall receive today and tomorrow. I thank you now, beforehand, that I may live in a state of gratitude and love for you.’
