You were asked, my son, to ask of my son’s passion, that which he shall share. But for me, the passion of his suffering began within my heart before I gave birth to Jesus, knowing that he would one day be the eternal sacrifice for the salvation of the world.
My heart proclaimed God’s glory upon my Annunciation and in accepting to be the mother of the Savior, the Mother of all Sorrows. Despite what I understood would be the greatest of all sorrows, I understood that in sorrow one must unite their heart to God and allow the depths of their sadness to be transformed through faith into a deeper relationship of glory for God and giving thanks to God for all things, that your sorrows may be complete and fulfilled by the joy of choosing to love God in every circumstance of our lives.
I love you, and I, your mother, am always with you.”
