In the third book of Lamentations, it says, “The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.” My Lord, my God, I seek you with all of my heart and my love.
In that chapter, it also says, “It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”
O my eternal light and salvation, consume me in your mercy and may your love take me to new heights of all that is good in the power of your Cross living within me. Take me, my love, as you desire, and lead me in your strength.
May your mercy shine upon me always, Lord, and upon my house, piercing one within whom I love. Pierce his heart with your loving mercy in his need.’
“My son, I shall take you by your hand and lead you into the glare of the light. Be not afraid, as I have always told you. Be not afraid, but lift up your eyes and your heart to heaven, to see the stars in the dream and hope that I have placed within your heart.
Live now, go now for God’s glory, my Father, whom I love so dearly.”
