‘Psalm 51 says, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.” My Lord, my God, my Father, I love you. I love you. I ask that you grant me the graces to fulfill my love for you each day, and then I may do what is good and pleasing in your sight for your heart and for your people.

Yes, grant me the eternal graces of your loving mercy and lead me as you desire into the light. Take me as you desire, Father. I pray for joy and humility this day, to see you in all things, to know you in all things and to seek you in all things, that I may draw closer to you.

May the eternal light of the Cross that now appears before me, burning like a fire, not fill, but consume my heart, mind, body and soul to purify me. I ask you, my Lord, forgiveness for my sins and the sins of the whole world, for also the least, the smallest of sins, of anything that separates my heart from you.

I desire to offer with joy, in your great mercy, that my heart may be ever so closely united to you. And in those moments when I feel weak and afraid, embrace me in your love and take me, take my soul to new heights in heaven.’
