‘My Lord,’ as the Spirit was deeply impressing upon me to return, ‘It is good to be home in the fields of the Roman Forum, where your angel first appeared to me in preparation, and to receive the grace as necessary to open my heart through the power of your Spirit for my mission. You have given me all things and I thank you in the joy of my love for drawing me here and closer to you, as I remember her presence as if it were yesterday. I love the open waving of her hands with blessings and the infant angel who was with her.

Led me, O Lord, as you desire, for it has been 33 years. What do you want of me? May I surrender humility to your will each day.

It gives me great joy on this last day in Rome to be here, as it is a mystery as to why you chose the Roman Forum. I was waiting for Pope John Paul II to fulfill the Stations of the Cross beginning at 9:00 that evening. But I choose not to suspect. What’s most important is not my will, but your will, Lord.

Grant me thy strength and thy love each day in the mystery of the hope and joy of your presence. I love you and I thank you for the joy that you’ve given me throughout these years.’

“My son, I have brought you here to remember all that is good and all that you fought for to fulfill this work through me, and now I grant you my blessings of love. As you continue to follow me, each day shall be new in my mercies and my love for you. Receive me, my son, and let me take you in my love as I desire.”
