My dear brothers and sisters, we have the stripes of our battles, and we bear our wounds to God as he bore his wounds for us, and we unite them to his heart on the Holy Cross.

For there is nothing that we will suffer that he has not suffered for us. There is nothing that we will endure that he has not already endured. No battle shall have victory over us, for the darkness has no power over the Cross. Our light, our being, is in Christ.
