‘My Lord, in Matthew 7 you said, “Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened.” I ask you for no greater love than this than to love you above all things and to lay down my life for my brothers and sisters, to follow you with joy and in the hope of your mercies that you may use me as your instrument of love, to speak of love.

I, a poor and weak sinner, know only this, that all things are given to us by you, through the Father, through our Father of love. So, I ask you in your mercy to consume me in your love, to take me to new heights in the mystery of all that is good.’

“Come now and rest. Rest in the mercies of my love, my son.”

‘Yes, O my love, take me as you desire. I pray for a greater discipline of faith. And in Spirit, lead me, fill me, O Lord, with your Spirit of Love.’

“O my son, rest now. Rest in the joy and in the mercy of all that I desire to give you.”

‘My Lord, my peace, my hope, may it be done to me as you desire. Fill me with your goodness and your grace.’
