GREGORY: I arrived in Vienna yesterday morning to visit my closest friend and one who is a brother to me. I am thankful for his years of committed friendship but was concerned regarding the timing of my visit, although our Lord has arranged everything perfectly for me to manage with his blessings.

Praise God our Father, who is so good and kind. He, who is love and gives love to his children daily to sustain us in his graces of faith. We are the light of Jesus in this world of darkness in need of light called to live in peace and joy with one another. I pray for peace on earth this day and an end to the war in Iraq. I pray for the hearts of mankind to be transformed by the graces of the holy love of Jesus.

I pray for a diminishing of the winds of the hurricane in the Caribbean so that it may not come to harm your children. Also, for those who experienced the earthquake, may their hearts find consolation and peace in you.
