‘My Lord, take me as you desire; take me in your love. Take me within your arms and embrace me in the eternal glory of the light. My heart cries for the mercy of your love, for your people, and calling them to repent that you may redeem them through the loving sacrifice of your Cross.’
“My son, yes, come to me; come to me in my holy love.”
Jesus is now offering his hand to me, bearing the wound of the stigmata, and I take it as he holds it, sitting beside me.
‘My Lord, how I have needed you. I understand now what I must do. Through the joy of loving you and of serving you in the face of my brothers and sisters of their hearts in need. I will walk in the goodness and glory of your love forever in walking in the intensity of your footsteps.
For we are nothing but useless servants, and I, a weak and poor sinner, need your love to sustain me. Everything has now come to quiet submission. Although I leave again for some upcoming weeks, I go a man who has been transformed, who is different, to seek the simple and the humble to walk by your grace.
The angel Gabriel once said that humility would be the key to fulfilling this path. O my Lord, I pray for the greater virtue of humility, that I may always be obedient to your will and love you.’
“Yes, my son, let me speak to your heart. Let me speak of humility, to walk in the light of the path of the faith, to be obedient to my call. Rest now. As you retire, rest in my hope and I will show you the way.
My son, you could already feel it through the power of my Spirit within your heart and I give you my love.”
