Yesterday, while at Holy Mass for Divine Mercy Sunday, as I was waiting to go to confession, I had a vision of the Holy Spirit in flight in the form of our Divine Dove.

He appeared from one end of the church, from the height of the ceiling, descending in flight to where I was sitting in the rear of the church. It was beautiful as he flew between the columns of the large basilica of Saint Ambrose and the side altars, then entered my heart to prepare me to make a good confession of God’s love.

And what came out of it was the importance, the greatest importance, of a single word, which is compassion. Only love through purity and receiving God’s grace in this great sacrament to sanctify us, to lead and sustain us in drawing us closer through our transformation in God’s mercy to the heart of Jesus.

‘I love you, my Lord, and may you consume me in your mercy this day.’
