I prayed to our Lord, I believe now that two nights ago, to reveal to me, according to his holy will, his call and mission for my life. I asked him if I should return to speaking in the churches here in the Dominican Republic, in the province of Puerto Plata, where I now am. Or if I should continue to guide in his name those souls that he appoints to me for the fulfillment of his glory. There are so many. He responded by saying that I can do both. And I understood that I should, as the Holy Spirit was placing that call within my heart.
I thank our Lord now for his mercies in responding so quickly. For when I was having lunch yesterday, Padre Carlos Lolo, as Monsignor called him, asked me if I had a message or if I was going to give a ‘charla’, which means conference. I knew it was the Lord speaking to me for his children and I said “yes” immediately.
It will be this Saturday at the parish where I first spoke out here in the Dominican 25 years ago, where Padre Tony is now the parish priest. And Lolo is with him.
Then at the same lunch, Padre Jose asked me, at that moment, if I would return with him more than an hour away to speak at his parish that same day. I could not do so because of a prior commitment, yet the door was opened. But what could have been more important than to speak at a mass and to serve the Word of God?
He understood. Yet I repent now. It all happened so quickly within a moment of conversation.
Lord, you are glorious beyond all belief. Take me as you desire. I pray for the virtue of humility to serve you and to go where you lead me. For you know all things: past, present and future, and you fulfill all things according to the goodness, mercy, and love of your holy and divine will. Amen.
