I am now on the island of Spanish Wells in the Bahamas where my father’s past generations have lived and those new generations continue in life on this beautiful island where souls are devout to God and love abounds through faith in God’s mercy and compassion in the way that they serve and attend to one another.

The ocean stars are bright, as if you can touch them. The birds have awoken to sing of God’s glory this day.

In all that God has fulfilled in my life, I pray to never forget where I come from and that is the roots of island people. It is the roots of faith and love for one another in all that I have been given, in the memories, the blessings of my life and upbringing, months past and every day ongoing.

The enemy does everything possible to rob me of my graces and blessings, as my Jesus so often says. But then he abounds with more of his graces, multiplied, to love, to sustain, to protect me and to give me his wisdom for souls whom I love.

‘My Lord, I continue to pray for deeper faith, hope and love that your heart may shine upon me. May the glory of your love be fulfilled in all things. And I am thankful for this sweet morning when all is good and pure. I am home now and I shall continue to rest in your love.

My Lord, renew my strength each day and deliver me from all my fears. As David once said, “I sought the Lord who answered me, delivered me from all my fears,” Psalm 34, “O taste and see the goodness of the Lord, for your love endures forever.”’
