My Lord is calling me and is causing me to fall in love with his Holy Church once again.
Yes, I confess, my brothers and sisters, that in all that I have witnessed, my heart was becoming dry and sad, as if in the desert far from the Holy See. But I never gave up and persevered in walking the path of God’s love, to run the good race, as Paul said, and as he endured with every human weakness to know that God was leading him.
‘I praise you, my Lord, for sending me the greatest shepherds of your church to lead me, to renew my strength in your name and to pray that your church be healed and protected from this division. O my Lord, take me. Draw me closer to you in your love and restore within me, renew within me, each day, the true joy of serving your Holy Church.
Protect me from the temptations of the evil one. Deliver me into your light each day. And may I face my call with courage and hope. I say that I will never forget the first day that I went to the Vatican. It was a great joy that I felt when I saw the dome and the statues of the apostles evangelizing, proclaiming the power of God and the Holy Church protecting it.
The beauty, the hope, the light, the life. Have I become blind? Was I blind all of these years since? And am I truly just beginning to see once again? I desire to be quiet in this call, on this path. I pray for the humility not to be what I desire but to be what you desire, my Lord. And if it means going out amongst the people once again, then lead me as you desire. I do not know, but you know.’
“My son, go, go in my love and you will be filled with joy—the eternal joys of my mercy. As John Paul came to you according to my will, he shall continue to do so with Carlo. And in the saints that I send to you, to support and to uphold you, to pray and to guide you in my name. Believe that it is me.”
I am now having a vision of a rose made of solid gold appearing. It is large and beautiful, and it is my confirmation of the grace of God’s love. The mountaintops that he was pointing to in the vision some days ago, I now understand, are the mountaintops of the glory of his love that I must give witness to and hope to for his glory.
